Project Description
This is a 17 unit development comprising 14 one bedroom units, 1 two bedroom unit and 2 disability modified units. It also features a common room, laundry, bike store and 3 car parking spaces.
Project Partners
This project was made possible through funding of over $2.5 million from the Commonwealth Government under the Nation Building and Jobs Plan. Other important partners include the Director of Housing, Bethlehem Community, FMSA Architecture and Ducon.
Design Features
The building has a 6 star rating and has the following environmentally sustainable and general design features: Energy saver gas heaters Cooling through cross flow ventilation, ceiling fans, air flow security doors and eaves on units A rainwater tank for the garden Free common laundry facilities including high speed, water efficient, front-loading machines Gas boosted solar with storage and quick recovery capacity Electronic access control
