Project Description
This is a 16 unit development (including 2 disability modified units) targeted at singles and couples. It includes a common room, laundry, secure bike store and 8 car parking spaces.
Project Partners
This project was made possible through funding of over $2 million from the Office of Housing and a further $95,000 from ARBIAS. Other important partners include Stoll-Long Architecture and Jacman Builders.
Design Features
This building has the following design features (including several environmentally sustainable features): Windows oriented for winter sun and summer shade Energy saver gas heaters Cooling through cross flow ventilation using breeze-ways and ceiling fans Bulk supply utilities with no need for tenants to arrange individual utilities Free common laundry facilities including high speed, water efficient, front loading machines and common access drying room Gas boosted solar hot water
