Project Description
This is a property solely designed for people confined to a wheelchair. It comprises 4 semi self contained disability modified units and a carers room.
Project Partners
This project was made possible through funding of over $500,000 from the Office of Housing and a further $171,000 from ParaQuad Victoria. Other important partners include Peter Scully and Jacman Builders Pty Ltd.
Design Features
The building has the following environmentally sustainable and general design features: External awnings, verandas, curtains, drapes and blinds for light and sun control Gas fired hydronic heating Cooling through split air systems Free common laundry facilities including high speed, water efficient, front loading machine and energy efficient gas powered dryer Drought tolerant landscaping Bulk supply utilities to remove the need for tenants to arrange individual utilities
